About us
Dedicated to His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, the founder of Gross National Happiness, on his 60th birthday in 2016, the 60th Café is located at Dochula pass, on the way to Punakha from Thimphu. Now you can enjoy a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of snow-capped mountains from the café. We are located just 100 metres away from the serenity of 108 chortens, built in honour of the Fourth Druk Gyalpo. The café is accessible to people with disabilities. We strive to provide our customers with decent sized portions, good food and great taste. We make our own dough for our breads and pastries, and source all our fresh vegetables locally. We are constantly training our staff to improve service. All these things have made us stand out from other restaurants ‘just off the highway for a quick bite’. We care about our food, our service and our customers.
